The Reidvyn
((ride-veen))

The very first race created by the gods was the Reidvyn, honourable and respectable creatures with a penchant for beauty and a high capability for inteligence. They were nearly perfect, and cherished by those who created them. Since it was Pryston's idea, they took after his form, with the slanted eyes and pointed ears, and he also gave them a nose from his favourite animals, molding them much like the noses of cats or dogs. The Reidvyn strived in the Age of Creation and helped inspire the gods to create other races they could interact with and teach. However, as those other races started to show up, the Reidvyn discovered the art of corruption and began to fall from their prestigious, pristine places. A group of Reidvyn became so particularly disgraceful that Pryston, appalled, stripped them of their credintials and higher abilities, and they became the Dri'in, an inferior subspecies.

Halfway through the Age of Legend, the Reidvyn mysteriously began to fade away, either by illness or just disappearing without any rhyme or reason. Soon after, only a small population existed in an island community off the northern coast of Analisia. It was a heavily forested area, and their homes were set up in the looming trees that grew healthy and plentiful there. One undeclared day, however, the entire woods were burnt down, presumably consuming everything there. The island had since become something that could not be located, and the Reidvyn were presumed exsinct. Faded from memory and only whispered myths, if the Reidvyn really have entirely left Aryneth, the Dri'in hope to make ammends by making up for the mistakes of their ancestors. But there are tales that there still remain some Reidvyn, thinking they are but mere Dri'in, walking the face of Aryneth and not knowing their true calling...

The Reidvyn vary in weight, and built, but they tend to age less as they get older, their aging rate slowing the more years they experience. It would be very difficult to discern a Reidvyn from a Dri'in.

Dri'in can possess any class/occupation except Majani. If they were to have Majani powers, they would practically be gods! It's rare for them to participate in the art of Ana'aek or submit themselves to the Spearwyn of the Ssark, as is with Dri'in, but they do tend to be more powerful and smarter than the other races.
