Embued in their throats is a crystal, and, should an Arynethian find a pendant with same crystal, the ak'djnn becomes sworn to that individual. Until someone possesses the pendant, they are kept in the Nexus. Their powers include teleportation, illusion and manipulation. To break their status as an ak'djnn and all bounds, be it to god or Arynethian, they must partake in intercourse with a mortal creature. However, in doing so and gaining their mortality, they lose their powers and their unending, unaging lives.
